We are always asked by our customers, whether to choose ampoules or serums for their daily skin care routines. Hence, we have dropped down some difference between both skin care products.
Ampoules and serums are both highly concentrated skincare products that can provide intensive treatments for specific skin concerns such as pigmentation, acne, moisturizing, etc. However, there are some differences between the two.
-
Packaging: Ampoules are small, sealed glass containers that are designed for single-use applications and nowadays Korean skincare brand will come out with a daily use ampoules which can use as daily skin care. In contrast, serums come in bottles with droppers or pumps that allow for multiple uses.
-
Concentration: Ampoules contain a higher concentration of active ingredients compared to serums. This is because they are designed for short-term, intensive treatments that deliver visible results quickly. Serums, on the other hand, are designed for long-term use and may contain a lower concentration of active ingredients to minimize the risk of irritation or side effects.
-
Price: Ampoules tend to be more expensive than serums due to their high concentration of active ingredients and single-use packaging.
-
Application: Ampoules are typically applied after cleansing and toning, before moisturizing. They are designed to be used for a short period, such as a week or two, and some might be able to use it daily Serums, on the other hand, can be used daily as part of a regular skincare routine.
In summary, ampoules are highly concentrated, single-use treatments that deliver visible results quickly, while serums are designed for long-term use and contain a lower concentration of active ingredients. Both products can be effective in treating specific skin concerns, but it is important to choose the right product for your needs and consult with a skincare professional if you have any questions or concerns.
